The selectee for this position will serve as a Powered Systems Support Mechanic in the Support Equipment (SE) Division of the Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic (FRC-MA) at Naval Air Station Patuxent River. He/she will perform all tasks related to a Powered Systems Support Mechanic and may lead a group of one to three Powered Systems Support Repairers/ Mechanic Helpers (WG-5378-08/05). As a mechanic, you will perform maintenance on the following classes of equipment: Aircraft ground handling and other support equipment, electric, gasoline and diesel powered equipment, mechanical support equipment, non-powered support equipment and any other unclassified equipment assigned to the Support Equipment Division.

The successful selectee will perform the following duties:
Set the pace of the work.
Disassemble, repair, replace and reassemble engines and components.
Perform journey level maintenance on aircraft ground handling and other support equipment.
Adhere to all applicable safety and housekeeping standards.
Maintain all licenses/certifications/physicals necessary to operate and perform job functions/maintenance on support equipment.
Requirements:

You be required to work overtime to fulfill mission requirements.
