The Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center is recruiting for three Student Trainees (Program Analyst). The Student Trainees (Program Analyst) will function at our Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) in Community Outpatient Service (COPS). One of the Student Trainees (Program Analyst) will be stationed at the Akron CBOC, one will be stationed at the Mansfield CBOC, and the third will be stationed at the Youngstown CBOC. The Student Trainee (Program Analyst) duties include:
Work Schedule: Interns may work full-time or part-time schedules, but the student's work responsibilities must not interfere with the student's academic schedule.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-4 level. Examples of specialized experience include: performing standard clerical assignments and resolving recurring problems, verifying accuracy and completeness of information, processing incoming documents, responding orally to inquiries or requests for information, follows-up on requests or complaints, and inputting data into a computer system.

Education: Four full academic years of post-high school leading to a bachelor's or equivalent degree. One full academic year of undergraduate, graduate, vocational, trades, technical or high school education is the number of credit hours determined by the college, university or school to represent 1 year of full-time study. All education must be accredited by an accrediting body or organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (transcripts must be submitted).
OR
Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of experience and education to qualify for the GS-5 Program Analyst (Student Trainee). For example, the position to be filled is a Program Support Assistant (Student Trainee), GS-5, and a candidate possesses 9 months of specialized experience and has completed one academic year of college. The candidate meets 75 percent of the required experience and 25 percent of the required education. He/she meets 100 percent of the requirement for 1 year of specialized experience and is qualified for the position (transcripts must be submitted).
