This position may perform some or all fo the following duties as assigned: Assists in the administration of the assigned facility, answering phones, greeting customers, ringing up sales and checking I.D cards to assure that only authorized patrons utilize the program. Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory to promote good patron relationships and to enhance the image o f the facility. Provides information and general instructions concerning use of facility, equipment, hours of operation, upcoming events or programs offered, reading materials, ticket availability costs, etc. Receives and resolves customer complaints, reporting any problem areas/issues beyond normal operating procedures to the supervisor. May operate cash register, ringing sales and providing correct change to the patron. At end of shift, completes the Daily Activity Report (DAR), verifying the amount of money collected and dropping the cashier bag into the drop safe. Maintains a variety of established office files, records and logs ensuring they are accessible, clearly marked, neat and up-to-date. Types documents from draft or verbal instruction, reviews/proof-reads outgoing correspondence such as purchase request, brochures, flyers, etc.pertinent to the assigned facility. Checks for accuracy, format, spelling and punctuation prior to signature of the supervisor. Completes smooth correspondence and places in proper folders, attaching any references and enclosures as needed. Loads/unloads, transports and stores supplies, equipment tor other items. Cleans and maintains the assigned facility by performing general janitorial services to ensure interior spaces and restrooms are clean, neat, orderly and well stocked at all times. Performs minor repairs to facilities and equipment, reporting any maintenance problems, material deficiencies unsafe conditions to the supervisor. Performs general lawn care tasks such as cutting grass, edging/weed eating, pulling weeds, raking and shoveling. Upon completion of tasks, cleans and properly stores equipment after use. Picks up debris and empties all trash receptacles daily. Notifies the supervisor immediately of any missing items and equipment malfunctions needing repair. Assists with the logistics for special events programs that includes minor and major events both indoors and outdoors. Assists Recreation Specialists to provide appropriate sites, staging, seating, lighting, sound and amenities. Ensures logistical implementation is completed properly and on time, to include construction fo staging, installation of temporary lighting/sound requirements, placement, power requirements, and coordination of concessions, rental and/or placement of amenities, and transport, installation, and break-down of rental equipment. Ensures supplies are delivered where and when needed. Immediately advising supervisor if changes need to be made and why. Performs all facets of set-up/break down including constructing/assembling staging, bleachers, and other equipment. Ensures the facility is open and/closed at the posted time and in a a state of cleanliness both inside and out. Reviews the schedule of events and ensures the facility is prepared prior to the scheduled start time. Upon closure of the facility, completes fire and safety checks, secures all doors, windows, storerooms, etc. Notifies the "trouble desk" of the Public Works Department (CWPD) of any emergencies that may occur. Prepares and submits daily report of night operations, to include both minor and serious incidents. This includes equipment breakdown or repairs, leaks, personnel/staffing problems related to work situations and any other information that may affect the operation of the athletic facility and/or management decisions.
