BLM is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to join the team to serve as an Assistant Dispatch Center Manager for the Galena Fire Management Zone.
The BLM manages more land - 245 million surface acres - than any other Federal agency. This is a seasonal appointment; you will be in a pay status for at least 6 months, but less than 12 months a year. When work or funds are not available you will be placed in non-pay status.
The salary range given above includes base pay and locality pay, you will also receive a 4.22% cost of living allowance. This allowance is subject to annual review, adjustment and gradual decrease.
This position has been identified as one of the key fire management positions under the Interagency Fire Program Management (IFPM) Standard. This position has been categorized as an Initial Attack Lead Dispatcher/Assistant Center Manager, and requires selectee to meet the minimum qualification standards for IFPM prior to being placed into the position.
