MINNESOTA NATIONAL GUARD:
This position is located in a Surface Maintenance Facility. Its purpose is to serve as a working leader of three or more Electronic Measurement Equipment Mechanics, WG-2602-11. Performs duties such as performing calibration, diagnostics repair, and certification of electronic, mechanical, and radiation Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). Provides technical guidance and specialized team leadership to lower-grade employees.

A Electronics Measurement Equipment Mechanic Leader, WL-2602-11, Assigns work orders to specific team members and selects workers for various jobs. Passes on to workers instructions received from the supervisor, demonstrates proper work methods and starts work. Ensures that needed plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations. Checks work in progress and when finished for compliance with supervisor's instructions, work orders, and established shop procedures. Sets up system test sets and various types of test equipment. Diagnoses equipment, makes repairs, and replaces defective parts/components. Calibrates and repairs TMDE within support capability and authority. Determines purpose in operation characteristics of each major section. Completes necessary TAMMS, calibration, radiation reports and other records and forms on work completed. Ensures maximum number of weapons systems are operationally ready. Uses TMDE TIMMS for all supported equipment to track, turn-in, repair, calibrate, and return to the end user in a timely fashion to prevent work stoppages. Follows appropriate safety procedures. Performs administrative functions in establishing and maintaining maintenance records on equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

REMARKS: No PCS available. This is an indefinite position. Current career or career conditional employees will lose their status if selected. Funding for this position is provided by NGB on a yearly basis.
