This is a military technician position with the US Army Reserves. Becoming a Military Technician allows you to experience the best of two worlds by taking advantage of the opportunity to become a Citizen Soldier in the US Army Reserve Military Technician Program. This enables you to receive full Civil Service benefits and full Military Reserve benefits. Military Technicians are a vital link between the US Army Reserve and civil service and are one of the most important keys to combat readiness.
About the Position: This position is with the 63rd Regional Support Command (RSC), Headquarters and Headquarters Company located at Moffett Field, California.
About the surrounding area: Located adjacent to Moffett Federal Airfield, the 63rd RSC Building is about 3 miles (5 km) north of downtown Mountain View, California. The airport is near the south end of San Francisco Bay. Moffett Field also hosts three university branch campuses: San Jose State University's (SJSU) Metropolitan Technology Center, Carnegie Mellon West, and UC Santa Cruz. These are within the base primarily to support the academic and research collaboration between these three institutions and NASA Ames. For those who love the outdoors, you will love what the City has to offer.
