The new $347M IACH opened in October 2016. IACH has grown to a 47-bed facility with 6 OR's, 2 Endoscopy Rooms, and an in-patient behavioral health unit. Sleep lab services will be added soon. Our Women's Health is a high-5 with over 900 babies a year.

This is a
developmental position. This position serves as a lead-in to the
next higher graded position. Duties are similar to those of the target position
Marketing and Outreach Specialist GS-1101-11. The incumbent performs developmental assignments under closer than
normal supervision and monitoring. Assignments become progressively more
difficult until the next performance level of GS-1101-07 is reached. The
instructions are more detailed with the supervisor or higher graded employee
providing assistance on difficult and unusual problems. Work is reviewed in
progress for assurance of effectiveness and conformance with policy and
regulatory guidance. Work assignments involve many different processes and
methods in which the incumbent must select and apply established techniques.
Non-Competitive promotion to the target job may be effected provided the
incumbent is sufficiently experienced; meets all necessary qualification
requirements for promotion to the target job; and is performing the full scope
of the major duties and is functioning under the supervisory controls stated in
the target job description.
Major Duties:
Serves as a medical marketing and outreach specialist for a multidisciplinary civilian medical staff.
Position serves as a program manager for sponsored events and outreach campaigns, coordinating marketing, advertising, and recruitment efforts to recruit a highly skilled civilian medical staff both in the local and national markets for IACH.
Works directly with advertising agencies, professional associations and other sources of potential candidates to coordinate all marketing and outreach materials.
Travels to annual medical conventions, career days, colleges, universities and other career related activities.
Develops a process for referrals and selections for concierge recruiting.
Helps manage the social media campaign through various outlets.

General experience: To Qualify for the GS-05 applicants must possess 3 years of general experience, 1 year of which is equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-04 ). General experience is defined as: work that involves independently create documents such as letters or reports, assist external/internal customers, plan and organize short-term projects, identify routine problems and recognize solutions.
To Qualify for the GS-07 applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-05).
Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in marketing, event coordination, outreach, advertising, and/or social media.
