This position is located in the Mental Health Service, reporting directly to the Psychology Training Director and ultimately to the ACOS of Mental Health. The purpose of this position is to serve as the administrative manager for the Psychology Training Program, which includes assisting with the day to day functioning of the training programs for both psychology internship and residency. Major duties include but are not limited to:
· Preparing and reviewing correspondences and reports for accuracy and completeness.
· Receives and directs in -person, by e-mail, and by telephone contacts from visitors including: psychology graduate students interested in training psychology interns, and psychology residents.
· Independently receives requests for information about the training program, advises when information can be provided and follows up the appropriate staff.
· Assists in the coordination of recruitment efforts for psychology interns and residents that occurs on a yearly basis, including managing and organizing all applications (approximately 100-150 every year).
· Assists the Training Director in coordinating other facility trainings to the benefit of psychology trainees, psychologists, and other mental health staff.
· Prepares correspondence, reports, and records in final form from rough drafts from professional staff.

Physical Requirements: Work is normally sedentary and involves general office work that includes some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work but expectation is to be able to lift and manage office equipment.
Time-in-grade: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06 level.
