As the Regional Field Administrator, you will focus on overseeing the activities of and providing leadership for 16 geographically dispersed FMCSA Program Manager (Division Administrator) positions and 18 positions located at the Service Center. The Program Manager (Division Administrator) positions are responsible for the day-to-day operations of a FMCSA Division office. As the Senior Executive Field Administrator for the Western Service Center, one of the primary functions is to direct the management of 238 open grants worth approximately $211 million. The candidate oversees over 134,000 active motor carriers including over 2,431 high risk carriers and is responsible for ensuring compliance programs reach all 201,000 registered carriers. The candidate has program responsibilities for his/her assigned region and supervisory responsibilities directly or through subordinate supervisors for over approximately 425 plus individuals. The position also supports the Associate Administrator for Field Operations by providing input and analysis of organizational needs for ensuring safe and secure commercial vehicle traffic at the Mexican Border. This field based position is the agency’s senior executive leader for overseeing the Mexican Long-Haul Program and for managing high-profile and emerging issues. Are you up to the challenge?
