About the Position:
This Information Technology Specialist (Enterprise Architecture) position is located in the Joint Program Executive Office, Chemical and Biological Defense (JPEO CBD) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
The JPEO CBD exists to manage our nation's investments in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) defense equipment. Our headquarters is located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Edgewood Area, MD, but we have offices across the United States. There are five unique directorates which manage the acquisition of CBRN equipment as enabler to achieving the National Security Strategy and supporting the U.S. Armed Forces: Contamination Avoidance, Guardian, Information Systems, Protection, and Medical Countermeasure Systems. Each of these directorates perform the functions of Prepare, Protect, Prevent, Respond, and Recover in a multitude of programs.
JPEO CBD is in an acquisition demonstration project, offers competitive salaries, pay banding, and pay for contribution. Manages the JPEO CBD Enterprise Architecture (ENTARCH) Program. Performs work that involves the analysis, planning, design, implementation, documentation, assessment, and management of the enterprise structural framework to align IT strategy, plans and systems with the mission, goals, structure, and processes of the organization. Develops the methodologies and publishes the management plan for the creation of an integrated JPEO CBD Enterprise Architecture. Develops and executes management plans for the inculcation of Enterprise Architecture concepts, methods, and procedures across the JPEO CBD. Serves as the coordinator of enterprise wide data governance programs and processes. Works closely with the JPEO CBD business units, subordinate organizations, external stakeholders, data stewards, and product/project/program managers and leaders to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make and/or inform organizational decisions.
