About the Position:
These Computer Scientist positions are located the U.S. Army Test Center (ATC), Test Technology Directorate, Analysis Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
The U.S. Army Test Center (ATC) is participating in an alternate personnel system known as the Acquisition Demonstration Project (AcqDemo). Among other features, the Demonstration project replaced GS grade levels with occupational families and pay bands. The band NH-03 is equal to the former GS-12 step 01 through GS-13 step 10
ATC uses control points within the salary range to allow for differentiation in the level of positions within the same broadband. Therefore, the salary for this position will be set no higher than $103,639.00.

Serves as a Computer Scientist assigned to the Test Technology Directorate, Analysis Division. Work involves the analysis and structure of data systems and requires knowledge of computer science, programming principles and techniques, and data base concepts. Develops computer software applications and database management systems for use throughout the Aberdeen Test Center and the Army Test and Evaluation Command to support a wide variety of scientific and engineering and business application functions. These applications and systems support development of instrumentation and technology in support of test mission.

Experience required:

In addition to the specialized experience, candidates MUST possess a bachelor's degree in computer science OR possess a bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.
