The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive Dermatological care including, but not limited to medical, diagnostic, and procedural Dermatology and possesses advanced clinical knowledge and competence to function in a variety of roles. She/he holds a scope of practice and practices in collaboration with a physician.
The NP provides guidance and continuity for dermatology Fellows and Attending Physicians in the outpatient clinics at Brockton, West Roxbury and Jamaica Plain campus in their provision of care to patients. She/he will assist them in addressing all aspects of care by the promotion of safe practices as well as the encouragement of effective use of V.A. resources. In addition, she/he will have clinics located at the Brockton, West Roxbury & Jamaica Plain Campus as determined by the Chief of Dermatology and medical administration.
