This position is located in the Health Care Services Directorate, Nursing Service Division, Nursing Inpatient Branch. As a Supervisory Clinical Nurse, you will:
- Serve as a nurse manager of the special care unit and AFRH Units, with responsibility for planning and directing the nursing care required in that unit.
- Assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for maintaining compliance with Federal, state, and corporate guidelines in the operations of the Armed Forces Retirement Home.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing in defining and interpreting the overall purpose of nursing and implements the planning in accordance with the philosophy and mission of the Home.
- Make daily rounds of unit to ensure that nursing services personnel are performing work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Education Requirements: Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed by the applicant.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- A one year probationary period may be required.

- Selectees will be subject to the AFRH Tuberculosis Surveillance Program.
- Wear required safety clothing and/or equipment required by the position. This may include safety shoes, hard hats, hearing protection, gloves, masks, etc.
- Shift Work is possible but not likely. This facility operates on a 24 hour per day, three-shift basis.
