Fort Leavenworth Family and MWR is recruiting for flexible status cooks for various operations - including but not limited to the Frontier Conference Center, 12th Brick Grill, Trails West Golf Course, and The Strike Zone. Flexible status employees are not guaranteed hours, however, can be scheduled to work up to 40 hours per week.

Conditions of Employment:
1. If selected, a completed and signed copy of our job application form (DA Form 3433) is required prior to entrance on duty. (Click here to view form).
2. Appointment is subject to completion of a favorable background checks/investigation to determine suitability for this position.
3. Successful completion of Food Handler's course within a month of Entry on Duty is a condition of employment.
4. Work is performed in a kitchen area, which is well lighted but is often hot and noisy. Exposure to steam, fumes, odors from cooking, and to extreme temperature changes when entering walk-in refrigerator or freezing units. Must stand on tile floor and is subject to burns, cuts, and slipping on wet floors.
5. Successful completion of pre-employment physical is required prior to entrance on duty.
6. Applicant can be selected for any FMWR facility with vacancy at the time of this announcement.
7. Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
