This recruitment is for a full-time Geriatrician to work at the
North Little Rock Campus of Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System.
Geriatrics and Extended Care Service is seeking physician applicants to serve as inpatient Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) clinical director, along with a faculty position at the Department of Geriatrics at University of Arkansas Medical School (UAMS). We are seeking a candidate well versed in Long Term Care with graduate medical education in continuum of care as it relates to elder care, to join with a high performing team.
The clinical director should be a visionary leader striving to sustain the high-quality programs that currently prevail, provide excellent clinical care and heighten academic activity. He/she will work closely with organizational peers and leaders to develop and execute novel and integrative care for the geriatric patients that with provide both quality and cost effective care. The initial focus of the program will be to sustain and progress current clinical programs providing comprehensive physician oversight and collaboration with Nurse Practitioners. Additionally, the clinical director will serve as medical director for the Adult Day Health Care program, located on the same campus. The candidate must also have outstanding clinical skills and must work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary staff, management and other health care providers.
