The Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA) is responsible for all microelectronics technology throughout the Department of Defense. The DOD mission primarily involves sustaining fielded weapons systems (i.e., for aircraft, sea vessels, and land vehicles/equipment), providing technical assistance in the development of new electronic systems, and serving as executive agent for diminishing manufacturing sources. You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist (Information Security/Systems Administration) and Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for the Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA), supporting the Activity's Cyber Security/Information Assurance and Enterprise Computing and Network Operations in accordance with all applicable policies and regulations. You are a key member of the Cyber Security/Information Assurance (IA) team in the formulation, interpretation, dissemination, and enforcement of Cyber Security/Information Assurance policy, processes, and procedures. In consultation with the DMEA Information System Security Manager (ISSM) the incumbent executes selected functions within the Cyber Security/Information Assurance mission area. Work involves ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of networks, systems and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems, security programs, policies, procedures, and tools. In addition, the incumbent provides Information Technology technical services (network administration, systems administration, network domain management, and computer operations support) to support DMEA foundry process automation, engineering design and test, business operations, and management information systems to include the centralized management of Internet and Intranet technical services.

Experience required:
