MAJOR DUTIES:
- Operates several complex work stations or a portion of a large fuel storage and dispensing system to transfer fuel to aircraft and refuelers.
- Receives incoming petroleum fuel and cryogenic product shipments by truck, tank car, or pipeline.
- Issues petroleum products to containers and refueling units through fillstands.
- Inventories and inspects the storage/distribution system and the conditional of the products received and issued.
- Performs operator maintenance of the fuel storage and dispensing equipment.
- Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT/OTHER SIGNIFICANT FACTS:
1. Work may be performed inside or outside. May be exposed to extreme weather conditions. Hazards in the work are include possible dangers from fire, explosion, and noxious fumes. Subject to prolonged exposure to loud noises.
2. Position may require the employee to operate a forklift up to 10,000 pound capacity to move cryotainers and drive a motor vehicle up to and including an aircraft refueling truck.
3. Shift work and/or overtime may be required.
4. May be required to be certified in the handling and/or removing of hazardous materials.
5. Position requires the ability to discern colors, contrast and depth.
6. This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP). You must successfully complete a pre-employment drug test. The incumbent may be subject to random testing for drug use.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualifications X-118C.
