This position is located in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). This position reports directly to the Director, Office of Information Management (IM). You will be responsible for evaluating, analyzing and managing acquisition and/or development, testing, federal cybersecurity conformance and implementation of a wide-range of Information Technology (IT) and information management projects and services.
The ideal candidate must have strong communication and organizational skills, and is comfortable presenting project information to managers and executives in the department. The perfect candidate will be capable of managing information technology projects for applications, infrastructure, software as a service, and COTS (commercial off the shelf) in accordance with federal cybersecurity and privacy laws, policies and standards (e.g., FISMA and FIPS 140-2 encryption).
