This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) with duties in the "Professional" work category and at the Full Performance work level.

MAJOR DUTIES:
· Monitors Directorate security programs for compliance with Department of Defense and USAF standards, instructions and governing directives/guidance.
· Provides advice and assistance to Directorate personnel assigned and to contractors assigned to the directorate on collateral and SCI security programs.
· Ensures all newly assigned personnel are given security training on the Emergency Action Plan (EAP), controlled area training, Automated Information Systems (AIS) access, opening/closing procedures and attends Center's Initial Security Training.
· Conducts research and gathers personnel security information on all Directorate in-bound military and civilian personnel and conducts Directorate security in-processing for all newly assigned personnel.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
DoD Components with DCIPS positions apply Veterans' Preference to preference eligible candidates as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 USC, in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction 1400.25, Volume 2005, DCIPS Employment and Placement. ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. Position is designated critical-sensitive and incumbent requires a TOP SECRET security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
2. Employee may be required to undergo random CI polygraph examinations in accordance with security regulations involving material handled.
3. This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive position presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
4. Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification, Security Asset Protection Professional Certification and Physical Security Certification conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DoD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification.
5. The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
6. The employee may be required to work irregular duty hours.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of AF and DOD security regulations, instructions, practices, and procedures related to Force protection, information/physical/personnel/industrial security, and OPSEC.
2. Knowledge of security training concepts, programs, procedures in order to assist directorate personnel in establishing effective security program/s.
3. Skill in analysis and production of reports and other products that are responsive to the specific needs of the respective security program; to include formulating, gathering, organizing, and analyzing information, resolving conflicts, and presenting clear/concise findings or recommendations.
4. Knowledge of security procedures to maintain control of classified material is required.
