This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Major Duties:
- The primary purpose of this position is to oversee, guide and perform information queries and profiles on specialized information technology systems for the exploitation of information/data in support of engineering level analysis at NASIC.
- Guides and directs initial analysis of this information/data and ensures the preparation and publication of reports on the results analysis in support of NASIC all-source analysis, US operational planners, US agency partners, and weapons/countermeasures acquisition programs.
- Collaborates with NASIC specialists, partner agencies within the US intelligence community and discipline experts across the Intelligence Community to guide analysis, policy, and tradecraft modernization necessary to meet current and future customer demands.
- Designs, plans, and executes advanced data collection and analysis projects. Performs duties as the Flight Principal Intelligence Analyst (PIA) and NASIC authority for focused digital network mining of digital network systems for engineers, intelligence specialists, USAF officer and enlisted analysts, US partner agency analyst and National Guard support analysts.
- Develops and presents ISR capabilities to a wide variety of service, national, and coalition customers. Provides Commanders and other customers the intelligence information and analysis derived from ISR assets to maximize their own forces' effectiveness by optimizing friendly force strengths, exploiting adversary weaknesses, and countering adversary strengths.
- Conducts and oversees the most complex analysis of multi-source intelligence. Evaluates relevance and reliability of both the classified and unclassified information to understand adversary strengths, weaknesses, and center of gravity.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
DoD Components with DCIPS positions apply Veterans' Preference to preference eligible candidates as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 USC, in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction 1400.25, Volume 2005, DCIPS Employment and Placement. ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. This position is testing designated position and as such requires periodic urine analysis testing. Failure to comply with any special requirements, when required, will subject the incumbent of this position to reassignment or disciplinary adverse actions, including demotion and removal.
2. The employee must be able to acquire and retain a Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
3. The employee may be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty.
4. An advanced intelligence-related or professional/scientific degree is highly desired.
5. Training in Certified Ethical Hacking, Telecommunications & Network and Network Security are highly desired.
