As a Billing and Collection Clerk/Technician typical work assignments include:
- Performs computations, calculates billings, and analyzes billing documents for accuracy
- Computes and enters data adjustments to employee Federal, State, local, and Social Security taxes based on billing, end of tax year, and employee repayment of debt
- Calculates, prepares, validates, and transmits reports of billing and collection activity to clients; prepares and transmits bill transfer package for employees who separate or retire
- Performs initial basic research to aid analysis of transactions to determine cause of erroneous billing
