About the Position: This position serves as a Supervisor in the Directorate, Network Enterprise Center with responsibility for planning, supervising, cyber security, and directing employees engaged in providing functional users with technical and functional support relative to standard systems. It is located in the Policy and Planning Division, Network Enterprise Center Directorate, United States Army Test and Evaluation Command, Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona. YPG is located near the Arizona-California border, adjacent to the Colorado River, approximately 24 miles north of the city of Yuma (pop 87,000), AZ, and is in the heart of the Sonoran desert. YPG conducts tests on medium and long range artillery, aircraft target acquisition equipment and armament, armored and wheeled vehicles, a variety of munitions, and personnel and supply parachute systems and is the Army's center for desert natural environment testing as well as the management of cold weather and tropic testing. Its 1300 square miles proudly holds the distinction of being one of the largest military installations in the world. As a supervisor, outline the overall program objectives and responsibilities, initiate actions, recognize problem areas or potential problems and formulate plans, methods, policies and procedures for successful accomplishment of assigned functions. Interpret information technology policies, standards and guidelines. Conduct analysis and recommend resolution of complex issues affecting the specialty areas(s) of policy and planning, customer support, systems analysis and cyber security. Enforce compliance with applicable regulatory guidance including regulations and policies. Evaluate and recommend adoption of new or enhanced approaches to delivering information technology services. Test and optimize the functionality of systems, networks and data. Identify and define business or technical requirements applied to design, development, implementation, management and support of systems and network. Ensure optimal use of commercially-available products. Evaluate proposals for the acquisition of information technology products or services. Prepare and present reports. Represent organization in interactions with other organizations; and provide technical leadership on group projects. Provide input to Continuity of Operations (COOP) Planning and/or tests and execute COOP Plan. Advise customers on policies and procedures associated with local use of Information Technology. Perform full supervisory and personnel management functions to include plan review work assignments, set priorities/deadlines, develop performance plans, evaluate performance; approve leave, handle grievances, initiate minor disciplinary actions and identify training needs.
