Serves as Emergency Management Specialist for the Oklahoma City VA Health Care System, responsible for administration of the facility Comprehensive Emergency Management Program, including managing, planning, organizing, and operating the facilities programs for responding to internal and external disasters at the local level and assist in the coordination of national emergencies. In this capacity and under the direction of the Chief, Environment of Care Section of the Director's Office, exercises authority and responsibility for all natural and national disaster program activities with other designated/appropriate federal and state agencies and interested/affected local entities. Provides authoritative advice and recommendations on a wide array of natural, regional, and local program issues including policy applicability, project eligibility, and program execution for operational readiness response activities in accordance with public law, regulations, and disaster assistance authorities and other federal agencies.
