This position is a Pharmacist located in the Branch of Pharmacy Services, Division of Professional Services, Blackfeet Service Unit, Browning, Montana. This position reports to the Supervisory Pharmacist. Selectee(s) may be eligible for recruitment and relocation incentives, credit for annual leave, and/or loan repayment opportunities.

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Education: Four-year bachelor's degree in pharmacy recognized by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education.
Licensure: Except for research positions that do not entail patient care, all applicants must be licensed to practice pharmacy in a State, territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications
For GS-12: One year of professional pharmacy experience equivalent to at least GS-11; or, for research positions, completion of all the requirements for a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a related scientific field.
To qualify based on specialized experience for GS-12 level, you must have one year of experience (equivalent to the GS-11) level that included duties such as: Compounding prescriptions, and formulating, preparing, bulk compounding, selecting, dispensing, and preserving drugs medicines, and chemicals. Advising on drug therapy and usage in a hospital, clinic or a facility in the pharmaceutical industry; applying quality assurance protocols to data collection for outcome results of pharmacy based clinical programs thorough a database; trend results of data collected to measure positive and negative outcome.

Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee. IHS may offer newly-appointed Federal employees credit for their directly related previous non-federal experience or active duty uniformed military service. This credited service can be used in determining the rate at which annual leave is earned.
