Through a partnership between the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the US Air Force, this liaison position will be physically located at the Air Force Wildland Fire Center Headquarters in San Antonio, TX, and will administratively report to the US Fish and Wildlife Services, Branch of Fire Management, National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) in Boise, Idaho. This is a not-to-exceed 1 year detail/temporary promotion assignment and may be filled at the GS-12 or GS-13 level (dependent on qualifications). At the expiration of this assignment, or whenever your services are no longer needed, you will be returned to your position and/or agency of record.
Temporary Promotion may be extended up to a maximum of 5 years without further competition.
