You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
In order to qualify, you must meet the screen-out element described below.
Screen Out Element: You must be able to do the work of a Small Arms Repairer, WG-6610-09, without more than normal supervision. In order to meet the screen out element, you should document your ability to do the following: experience working within a shop environment and assisting with the accomplishment of tasks, such as weapon repairs. I generally work under supervision, but am capable of accomplishing deadlines and priorities made by higher levels of supervision.
Physical Effort Required: Frequently lift subassemblies or small weapons weighing 15-20 pounds. You will also frequently lift and carry large assemblies or weapons weighing up to 50 pounds. This position also requires you to be able to walk, bend and stand for long periods of time.
Working Conditions: Usually works in shop buildings that are well lighted, heated, and ventilated; stands on concrete floors or other hard surfaces for long periods. Is exposed to oil, grease, and solvents when cleaning and lubricating weapons; is frequently exposed to the possibility of minor cuts and bruises from sharp edges of metal.
