Screen Out Element: Ability to do the work of Utility Systems Repairer-Operator without more than normal
supervision. Responsible for the operation of a large, fully automatic central heating, air conditioning, fire pump booster emergency generators and electric switch gears, which produce high pressure steam, chill water and emergency. The system provides steam, heat, hot water, cooling, soft-water, city, city water, emergency power, medical vacuum, and process air for administration and hospital care facility.

Experience and training that furnish the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the duties of this position consistent with accepted practices of the trade. Ability to use and maintain appropriate tools and equipment. Ability to read, understand, and apply instruction and other materials related to the job.
Physical effort: Work involves walking, standing, crawling, kneeling, stooping, bending, and climbing. Work may be done in awkward and cramped positions. Frequently lifts objects weighing over 50 pounds.
Working Conditions: Works outside and inside in heat, cold, excessive humidity, excessive dampness or chilling weather. Works on concrete floors. Work is noisy. dirty, smoky. and involves exposures to fumes, gases, solvents, grease and oils. Works in areas where slippery or uneven walking surfaces are present including ladders or scaffolding. Exposed t cuts. bruises and falls from ladders. Works around machinery. objects, or vehicles with moving parts. Works in areas where silica or asbestos may be present.
