Billeting/Bachelor Housing Branch (B/BHB) is seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our Team! B/BHB exists through a centralized command management program that contributes to the well-being, quality of life, and effectiveness of the Military members and their families that utilize our quarters.
B/BHB is a small organization with a workforce comprised of civilian personnel, active duty military, military family members, and retired military who work together to provide exceptional facilities and services for permanent and transient personnel to enhance their quality of life and readiness.

Performs one or more of the following duties:
Scrubs, strips, waxes, and polished floors using heavy (industrial-type) power scrubber and buffers. Vacuums, cleans and shampoos rugs, using heavy (industrial-type) vacuum cleaner and or carpet car equipment. Maintains and cleans powered scrubbers and buffers, oils these machines, changes brushes, rollers, and buff pads and other attachments on them. Washes and replaces Venetian blinds, changes light bulbs and washes ceiling fixtures, windows, and room walls, using ladders and scaffolds. Moves heavy furniture, supplies and equipment. In living quarters, makes beds, changes linens and collects soiled linen. Maintains rest rooms and deodorizes lavatories, urinals, and toilet bowls. Cleans mirrors, sinks and water fountains. Dusts ledges and woodwork. Maintains a stock of cleaning materials and equipment plus notifies supervisor when supplies are needed. Maintains outside of buildings, sweeping and hosing down porches. Will pick up debris from parking lot and surrounding grass areas.
Work is performed indoors and outdoors, in areas which normally have adequate heat, light and ventilation. Work involves exposure to dirt and disagreeable odors. Must frequently lift and move objects weighing about 40lbs and occasionally objects weighing over 50lbs. Exerts moderately heavy physical effort in controlling heavy equipment, carrying and setting up ladders and scaffolds and working from ladders and scaffolds.
EVALUATIONS:
General knowledge and skills of basic janitor/custodial/housekeeping abilities and hotel/motel cleaning services. Must have possession of a valid state driver’s license. Knowledge and skill sufficient to read, understand and implement oral and written instructions, plus the ability to move around well enough to work safely. Ability to use powered equipment. Ability to meet and communicate with the public. Neat appearances and pleasant personality preferred. Must be flexible and willing to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays. Worker is called upon to use continual safety measures due to the nature of tools and equipment used, and the weight of objects handled. After receipt of instructions worker must complete duties involving several distinct tasks or steps independently.
