As a General Supply Specialist, you will be serving as a Property Book Clerk within the US Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) Property Management Section, responsible for the acquisition, accounting, receipt, storage, and turn-in of both medical and non-medical equipment and supplies within the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system. Incumbent serves as Property Book Officer (PBO) in the PBO's absence, and serves as both Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and Government Purchase Card (GPC) Cardholder. You will oversee and monitor all procurements of necessary supplies, both medical and non-medical, and insure inventory is maintained at an acceptable level to satisfy mission needs. You will apply a broad range of supply and acquisition regulations as well as advise on improvements to current practices to improve efficiency. As the senior Supply Specialist, you will oversee the work of others and provide guidance as needed. You will provide input to superiors and peers on supply practices and monitor all financial expenditures to insure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.

Experience required: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in Federal Service which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: (1) utilizing automated supply databases; (2) applying supply regulations to facilitate mission needs; and (3) monitoring financial expenditures to insure compliance with applicable regulations/guidelines.
