This position is located in the Korean Service at the Voice of America in Washington, DC. The incumbent serves as a Senior TV Production Specialist with the responsibility of managing the technical quality of television productions in the Service. The incumbent develops and coordinates both regular and special programming with Korean Affiliate TV stations.

The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), an independent federal agency, is an exciting, multi-cultural organization that encompasses all United States civilian international broadcasting. The International Broadcasting Bureau provides transmission, administrative, and other support services; and three grantee organizations. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Manages all technical requirements of the Service's programming including special events coverage and complicated live inserts/programs.
Coordinates the Service's equipment inventory management and plans its annual technical requirements according to the allocated budget.
Serves as managing producer in live and taped newscasts/programs.
Conceptualize, research, shoot, write and edit complex stories for television and the web. Serve as a host, reporters, interviewer if needed.
Evaluates staffs performance and makes recommendations for necessary training.
Sets standards for TV production quality and evaluates the Services television programs.
Suitability Determination: If selected, you will be subject to a security investigation to establish your suitability for federal employment. The security investigation will include, among other aspects, a review of your credit and legal history.
This position may require working nights, weekends, and holidays.
