This position is a TERM position not to exceed 2 years. It is temporary and may be extended up to a maximum of six years.

As an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), you will perform the following duties:
-Serve as a Battle Captain in the Defensive Cyberspace Operations section of the Army Cyberspace Operations and Integration Center in Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER).
-Receive, distribute and analyze information in order to integrate, synchronize and coordinate resources across the spectrum of Cyberspace Operations; Offensive Cyberspace Operations (OCO), Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) and Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) Operations.
-Receive and analyze reporting from Cyber Mission Forces to provide ARCYBER leadership with situational awareness of operations and to direct actions.
-Coordinate cyber incident handling with five Regional Cyber Centers, Law Enforcement, Intelligence and Counter-Intelligence in order to secure Army information systems from malicious or unauthorized activity.
-Prepare and brief Army Defensive Cyberspace Operations and cyber incidents daily to ARCYBER leadership for situational awareness, tracking, and leadership guidance.
-Report to higher headquarters on Army Defensive Cyberspace Operations and cyber incidents.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
-Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on SSBI with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Tentatively selected applicants will be required to sign DA Form 5019 (Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as Critical Under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program) requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
-This is a 24x7 position and is subject to rotating shift work including nights, weekends, and holidays.
-Incumbent must be willing to take and successfully pass a Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CI/Poly).
-This position requires successful completion of the appropriate training and certifications to obtain the required Computer Network Defense- Service Provider Incident Responder (CND-IR) certification as well as meet the requirements of Information Assurance Manager Level II (IAM-II) within 6 months of placement as outlined in DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program.
-Temporary duty travel may be required approximately up to 25% of time both within and outside Continental United States.
-This position is Key and the incumbent is required to report for duty, as necessary, in an emergency (regardless of holidays, weekends, nights, furloughs) or conditions such as weather in which non-essential personnel are not expected to report.
