Serves as the Lower Colorado Regional Office Information System Security Specialist responsible for planning, evaluating, and providing advisory services to IT management.
Ensures security measures (Management, Operational, and Technical) are established to protect Lower Colorado Regional's IT resources and associated information resources.
Develops guidance and procedures, promotes IT security awareness, and ensure sound principles are reflected throughout the Lower Colorado Region.
Assess IT security incidents and/or events to determine impact and implement corrective actions; works directly with the Regional IT Manager to design and implement technical solutions.
Ensures annual IT security reviews on all IT systems are conducted and documented; conducts periodic reviews and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and confirm compliance; and provides advice and guidance to users to ensure awareness, understanding, and adherence to systems security policies and procedures.
