Joining the Office of the Undersecretary (OUS) means overseeing Department of Homeland Security (DHS) efforts to counter terrorism and enhance security, administrative performance, operational programs, and other pertinent management information. As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst in OUS, you will advise top-level agency officials and subject matter managers on developments and advances in programs and policies and serve as the authoritative source and subject matter expert on all matters relative to the Management Audit and Self Inspection Program (MASI). The salary ranges from $131,767.00 to $161,900.00 / Per Year.

You will serve as a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst in the Office of the Undersecretary (OUS). In this capacity, you will supervise a staff of GS-13-14 senior Management and Program Analysts and may direct and oversee the work effort of a staff of contractor management analysts. Duties include:
-Supervising a staff of senior management analysts who perform management audits, studies, administrative reviews and special administrative investigations in support of and on behalf of the Under Secretary for the National Protection and Programs Directorate.
-Establishing program objectives, develop plans, and identify required resources in order to promote an efficient, economical, and progressive organization.
-Performing a key role in preparing, analyzing, formulating, developing, reviewing and implementing DHS security audit policies, standards and procedures in accordance with Executive Orders, Federal laws, and regulations.
-Serving as the agency's representative on various intra- and inter-agency and intergovernmental committees and groups convened to address policy and procedural issues.
-Issuing comprehensive written reports and analysis and provide in and out-briefs to senior Federal government officials, and other civilian stakeholders.
-Overseeing the implementation of corrective actions and conducts appropriate follow-up resulting from report findings and recommendations.
New employees must serve a one year probationary period.
Employees who are initially appointed to supervisory positions must serve a supervisory probationary period for one year.
