Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP): Acceptance of a Federal Excepted technician position of over 179 days in length will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP).
Type of Appointment: This is a full-time, Excepted Indefinite, dual-status position which requires Georgia Air National Guard Membership. Position is indefinite; however, may convert to permanent without further competition. If a tenured applicant is selected, tenure will not change. (NGB Funded)
Job Summary: This position is located in the Air National Guard, Logistics Readiness Squadron, Vehicle Management Flight. The primary purpose of this position is to perform preliminary planning, long term scheduling, and analysis, for the utilization and maintenance of a variety of general and special purpose vehicles and equipment (i.e., special purpose vehicles include fire trucks, K loaders, de-icing trucks, large snow blowers). In addition serves as the Base Fleet Manager.

Background Check: Selectee may, at the option of the agency, be required to submit to criminal, credit history, and general background checks which will be evaluated by the agency prior to a final offer of employment and access into the Georgia National Guard Federal Technician or Active Guard/Reserve program.
National Guard Membership: This position requires military membership. It is designated for Georgia Air National Guard Enlisted incumbent only. In accordance with ANG regulations, incumbent performs duties necessary to accomplish Production Controller (Automotive) functions in support of programs essential to state Air National Guard daily operations, training and readiness missions.
As a member of a unit of the Georgia Air National Guard, you will be required to train with your unit, normally one weekend a month and 15 days of annual training each year. Georgia Air National Guard units and members are subject to immediate call to federal or state active duty to meet national or state emergencies.

Other Requirements: For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, selectee must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.

National Guard Compatibility: Once an applicant is selected and prior to being placed in the technician position, the selectee must be assigned to165th Logistics Readiness Squadron in the Georgia Air National Guard as an Enlisted member in AFSC: 2T3XX.

General Experience: Applicant must have experience which provide he candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity.
Specialized Experience: Applicant must have at least 24 months specialized experience preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes. Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements will be further evaluated by the Selecting Official based on the following KSAs considered essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.
