This position will be located in various regional offices of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD), Federal Protective Service (FPS), This position is responsible for reviewing background investigations and approving and/or denying suitability clearances for contractor personnel. Typical work assignments include:
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. All qualifications and time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
New employees must serve a one year probationary period.
