The Nutrition & Food Service (N&FS) Clinical Nutrition Manager (CNM) is the supervisor for the clinical nutrition program and directs a comprehensive nutritional care program at the Miami VHA Health Care System including the Community Based Outpatient Clinics. The Clinical Nutrition Manager is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating clinical nutrition and nutritional education programs. She/he supports the facility mission and coordinates clinical nutrition activities with other services and units, clinics and local community. The CNM works collaboratively with the CNMs in the VISN to implement clinical nutrition programs. Increasing complexity and specialization in nutrition requires that the clinical nutrition manager have expertise in a wide range of disease entities, treatment modalities, and possess the skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the adult client population ages 18-75 and geriatric population age 75 and over.
Work Schedule: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Physical Requirements: Reaching above shoulder; Use of fingers; Both hands required; Walking (up to 3 hours); Standing (up to 3 hours); Repeated bending (up to 1 hour); Sitting for long periods of time; Ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously.
