NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. As a RESILIENCE AND RISK REDUCTION PROGRAM COORDINATOR, GS-0101-9/11, you will perform duties as the Resilience and Risk Reduction Program Coordinator that requires the incumbent to analyze trends by utilizing qualitative and quantitative measures to ensure the effective implementation of the Program. Utilize scholastic research that encompass principles, theories, and findings in industrial/organizational psychology, psychometrics, experimental design/evaluation methodology, education and training technology, and cognitive psychology in order to modify, revise, improve or create ARNG programs. Monitor strategies and objectives to ensure they are effective, complete, comprehensive, and compatible toward achieving identified goals. Recommend, develop, coordinate, and disseminates policies and ARNG guidelines for administration and management of these programs to include doctrinal development. Serve as the staff consultant on all aspects of the Resilience, Risk Reduction and Suicide Prevention Program and training and is the focal point for analysis on a full spectrum of issues affecting Soldier accession and recruitment. Plan and develop approaches, methodologies, policies, and procedures for attacking major problems frequently characterized by a lack of precedent studies to expand knowledge in the area. Assess feasibility of new institutional training and performs research in support of findings from assessment visits. Develop partnerships with state, local and community agencies to support the R3/SPP. Participates in the State Community Health Promotion Council (CHPC). Serve as the Resilience and Risk Reduction Program Coordinator with the responsibility for the overall planning, developing, coordinating, implementing, standardization and promoting of a comprehensive and effective program aimed at the reduction of Soldier and civilian high-risk behaviors (e.g., domestic violence, drug and alcohol, suicide, etc.). Recommend policy, procedures and methodologies to commanders to assist them in reducing both the probability and severity of high-risk behaviors. Provide program guidance to technical specialists involved in readiness, resiliency and retention throughout the ARNG as well as, high-risk operational activities in order to reduce high-risk behaviors. Perform other duties as assigned.
