Billeting/Bachelor Housing Branch (B/BHB) is seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our Team! B/BHB exists through a centralized command management program that contributes to the well-being, quality of life, and effectiveness of the Military members and their families that utilize our quarters.
B/BHB is a small organization with a workforce comprised of civilian personnel, active duty military, military family members, and retired military who work together to provide exceptional facilities and services for permanent and transient personnel to enhance their quality of life and readiness.

Performs non-supervisory work involved in the maintenance and emergency repair of grounds, exterior structures, building and related fixtures and utilities. The work in this occupation carries in the combination of trade practices required by differing work situations. The duties may include one or more of the following: Carpentry-measures, cuts or repairs wood or wood substitute items such as walls, doors, and furniture. Painting – performs standard coating methods such as brushing, application of coating techniques that ensure surfaces are fully coated, protected, and free from drips and runs. Plumbing – make plumbing repairs that can be accomplished by removing, cleaning, resealing, replacing defective parts or units of utility, supply, and disposal systems, such as dirty traps, damaged or broken pipes, leaky faucets, and stopped up drains.
Performs a variety of maintenance duties which may include, but are not limited to: Replacing burned out bulbs, installing, repairing door locks, mixing and pouring cement, soldering materials together, and repairing broken tools and equipment. Perform minor repairs to vehicles, small engines, and electrical equipment. Hauls material, digs trenches and maintain all tools and equipment, in good working order. Make minor repairs to garbage disposals, furnaces, hot water tanks, and other household and commercial appliances. Daily cleaning and policing of the common area may include trash collection, cleaning and disinfecting, spraying and sweeping.
Observes required safety, sanitation and hazardous waste disposal rules and regulations. Operate a motor vehicle to transport tools and materials to work site. Performs other related duties as required.
EVALUATIONS:
Must be in good physical condition and able to follow written and oral instructions is required. Must have possession of a valid state driver’s license. Must be able to recognize hazardous materials in regards to chemical cleaning compounds and solutions. Ability to perform minor maintenance to equipment and demonstrated skills in cleaning machines. Must be able to work independently. Must be flexible and willing to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays.
Accomplish work assignments that are provided in broad terms. Work has to be exact, paying close attention to specifications and codes with appearance being a major factor in the final product. Ability to obtain CPR training.
