BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Have successfully completed a full four-year course of study at an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree that included major study in an academic field related to the health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
In addition to meeting the basic requirements above, applicants must have:
Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position, to include experience conducting epidemiologic and surveillance activities related to Neglected Tropical Diseases in public health programs.
A. Have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service, conducting epidemiologic and surveillance activities related to Neglected Tropical Diseases in public health programs;

B. Have completed 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education OR possess a PhD or equivalent graduate degree in a field that is directly related to the duties of this position;

C. Have a combination of specialized experience and graduate level education that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.
