As an Administrative Support Assistant (Office Automation), you will:
perform a variety of administrative and office automation functions in support to the Directorate of Emergency Service reimbursable mission. The incumbent serves as the primary point of contact on all matters relating to Civilian Personnel, Time and Attendance/Payroll, Administrative matters and Office Automation support. Provide a wide variety of information regarding requirements, regulations and procedures for all assigned areas; identifies and researches problems/errors and takes or recommends corrective and/or preventive actions based upon application and interpretation of established guides.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience required: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience directly related to the occupation equivalent to at least the GS-06 Federal grade level.
Specialized experience is defined as work involving: (1) Using several types of office automation systems (such as Microsoft Word or Excel) to manage receipts/transmission of electronic mail, spreadsheets, and update existing databases; (2) Screening calls and taking messages, creating memos, letters, and input time and attendance for payroll; and (3) Performing a full range of administrative duties such as maintaining control records on correspondence, publications, regulations, and directives.
