The primary purpose of the position is to serve as the wing Program Manager for the Inspector General Evaluation Management System (IGEMS), Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT) and Air Force Gatekeeper (GKS) software programs or most current automated systems. The Wing Inspection Program Manager will train and manage the Wing Inspection Team (WIT), and conduct independent surveillance or evaluations of Wing Self-Assessment programs, no notice/short notice inspections, and independent assessment of wing long-range strategic plans, programs and capabilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Experience or training to understand legal provisions, regulations, and administrative procedures and to apply them to specific situations, to analyze narrative and numerical data, draw conclusions and make decisions, to communicate with others effectively, both orally and in writing.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: (GS-11) - Must have at leave 36 months of specialized experience involving the thorough knowledge of inspections, investigation, enforcement, and compliance methods and techniques, special process, test and performance requirements; and skill in developing plans and programs. Experience possessed by an expert in the area of inspection, investigation, enforcement, and compliance specialization able to give technical direction to otherwise competent workers, determining compliance when difficult and questionable interpretations are found, required significant and concrete work accomplishments (i.e. special projects, working groups, or detailed inspection or investigation assignments) involving individual or organizational contacts and dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for the function required by type of position to be filled and the organization involved.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Army National Guard and Air National Guard Enlisted: High school diploma or General Education Development diploma (GED - Army Enlisted Only) is mandatory. The school work should include completed courses in math, English grammar and composition, speech, psychology, and general science is preferred. Completed higher education academic courses from an accredited business, civilian or military technical school, junior college, undergraduate college or university are optimum. Completed academic courses may include business management, human resources development, English grammar and composition, speech, statistics, public administration, human resources administration, organizational development, public administration, and behavioral social sciences.
OTHER QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants must have a current Single Scope Background Investigation according to Army or Air Force Personnel Security Program Management Directives; or must possess or be able to obtain a National Agency Check according to applicable DoD Instructions, Army or Air Force regulations. NOTE: The applicant must posses or be able to obtain the proper clearance type and level within 12 months of appointment.
- Must posses a valid state driver's license to operate government motor vehicles, for the state in which they live or are principally employed, in accordance with Army and Air Force Vehicle Operations Directive.
- Must not have any disciplinary action (Article 15 or Court-Martial) on military records for engaging in an unprofessional or inappropriate relationship as defined in applicable DoD Instructions concerning Army and Air Force Professional or Unprofessional Relationships.
-Must not have any Unfavorable Information Files, civil convictions (other than minor traffic violations), or open Inspector General Investigations.
- For ANG Inspector General Program, applicants must meet the Program requirements as described in AFI 90-201, The Air Force Inspection System, dated 21 April 2015.
- To maintain the position- The incumbent must have a current Network License according to Army or Air Force Directives, Licensing Network Users and Certifying Network Professionals.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: Incumbent must accomplish all training requirements and attend the Inspector General Training Course (IGTC) within 1 year to become a fully qualified Inspector General (AFSC 81000).
