** This is a Temporary Appointment. If an On-Board Technician is selected for this position he or she will receive one of the following Personnel Actions: Temporary Promotion, Temporary Reassignment, Position Change, or a Change to Lower Grade. The initial action will have a Not-to-Exceed date of 365 days or less. The On-Board Technician selected will be returned to their permanent position or be permanently assigned to this position.
** Duration of this initial appointment will not exceed 30 September 2017.
COMPATIBILE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT:
Selected individual must be assigned to a compatible military position in the following MOS/AOC within 90 days of effective date of hire: Enlisted: EMOS 00F. Military grade inversion within the full-time work force is not permitted. The military grade of the full time supervisor must equal or exceed the military grade of personnel supervised.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Army National Guard Enlisted Technicians- High school or general equivalent degree is mandatory. An undergraduate academic degree, with courses in education, English grammar and composition, speech, psychology, guidance, and sociology; or, social and behavioral sciences is desirable.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
This position is located in the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) Army National Guard (ARNG) Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) for Operations G3/5/7 Directorate. This is an Army National Guard dual status technician position that requires military membership, compatible military skill assignment and classification. The purpose of this position is to assist the Training Officer and/or NCOIC within the directorate. Under the direction of the Training Officer and/or NCOIC this position assists in the accomplishment of work performed in the areas of operations and training.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:
General: All series personnel must be certified at the next higher level before being eligible for that level and must have a minimum of one year on-the-job experience in the grade immediately below the next higher level. Must have the education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade. Experiences, education, or training that demonstrated the ability to follow directions and to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures and that otherwise demonstrates the ability to perform or learn to perform the duties of the position.
Specialized: Must have 12 months of experience equivalent to at least the GS-06, respectively. Experiences that demonstrated the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (Competencies/KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position. Basic knowledge of Army vision, values, organization, policy, and mission is mandatory. Some knowledge in training centers, training programs, schools, and units. Have some experiences in conducting or developing education and training programs. Also, have some experiences conducting, supervising, or developing education and training programs. Basic understanding in the Army education and training policy requirements. Some experiences in working programs to include developmental education, voluntary education, advanced academic education, promotion testing, and libraries. Knowledge is necessary of audio-visual presentation, educational tests and measurements, and instructing techniques. Knowledge of Army education and training programs in regard to their principles, and procedures.
