The mission of the Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) Programs team is to maximize the physical, emotional and social development of the Navy family. FFR enables a ready Navy force through its Fleet Readiness, Family Readiness and Housing Programs. We service all non-appropriated fund (NAF) employees who work for Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR), Navy Gateway Inns & Suites (NGIS) and Fleet and Family Service Center (FFSC) throughout the Fleet and Family Readiness Program for the Naval Support Activity Monterey.

Acts as primary recruiter for facility, manages entire front-end employment lifecycle including job advertisement, application collection and screening, verifying employment eligibility, interview coordination, job offer and on-boarding. Oversees training program using ESAMS and TWMS. Assists managers with facilitation of medical surveillance program. Coordinates with department managers to provide training materials as necessary and tracks all completed training. Processes full range of personnel actions for employees in a variety of occupations. Screens personnel action requests for accuracy and compliance with written instructions and local guidance. Establishes and maintains official personnel files (OPFs) for accuracy, requesting information from other locations as necessary. Interacts with employees to process benefit registrations. Provides information to supervisor and employees on such matters as pay actions, health insurance, life insurance, and a wide variety of personnel actions. Assist employees in preparing documents necessary for background investigations (NACI) etc. updating background records. Performs other duties as assigned.
This position is subject to a favorable completion of a national agency background check.
High school graduate with at least two years of experience in a personnel environment. Previous Nonappropriated Fund Personnel experience is desirable. Experience with computers is required. Experience with FedHR, ESAMS and TWMS desired. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Strong personal code of ethics, including maintaining the highest level of confidentiality is required.
Incumbent will be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period.
