The selectee will serve as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist responsible for directing and managing major USMS technology projects such as: mobile application projects, infrastructure projects, administrative and operational mission support application projects, software application projects, and SharePoint projects. This includes the design, documentation, development, modification, testing, installations, implementation, and support of new or existing applications supporting USMS nationwide. This includes USMS Headquarters and 94 USMS Districts which are located in the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.

demonstrating each of the four required competencies: 1) Attention to Detail -

Have at least one year of full-time (12-months) specialized work experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that included the following: 1) Managing or directing the implementation of an organization-wide Information Technology project; 2) Recommending and implementing changes to improve IT systems; 3) Developing IT System guidance or policy to align IT System implementation with organization goals and objectives; and 4) Leading IT team or staff in installing, implementing and supporting new or existing IT applications to support organizational objectives.
