The FMWRC mission is to create and maintain "FIRST CHOICE" MWR products and services for America's Army, essential to a ready, self-reliant force.
This position is with the Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation; Community Recreation Division; Located at Outdoor Recreation/Equipment Rental.
This position is a Flexible position and there are no benefit entitlements.
Flexible positions will normally be scheduled 0-40 hours per week dependent upon the needs of the organization. There is no set guaranteed number of hours for flexible positions.
Schedule will include nights, weekends and holidays.
The cut-off date for this announcement will be once a week.

Works under general supervision of the Outdoor Recreation Manager or Recreation Specialist as a Recreation Assistant, instructing groups and individuals in a variety of outdoor recreation programs, such as but not limited to rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, challenge course, using a variety of teaching methods to effectively communicate to participants who have a wide range of abilities and backgrounds. Teaches children as well as adults.
Incumbent is responsible for group management. The safety of the participants must always be the number one priority.
Must be familiar with all programs offered by Outdoor Recreation, as well as be familiar with local area as the position requires providing information to customers. Reports any problems to the Outdoor Recreation Manager or Recreation Specialist as soon as possible in order to maintain a high quality service to guests.
Conditions of Employment:

2. Subject to satisfactory completion of all required background checks of AR 215-3, must be successfully completed and maintained to include the initiation/completion of Child and Youth National Agency Check with Inquiries (CNACI).
3. Must have or be able to obtain a current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED training certification.
4. If water rafting is part of the duties, satisfactory completion of required Raft Guide Training must be completed within three weeks of appointment.
5. Failure to successfully completed required training may result in separation.
