The Eisenhower School is recruiting for a faculty member to serve in the Department of National Security and Economic Policy. The incumbent is responsible for leading graduate-level seminar instruction and lectures in the area of national security/defense resourcing, which includes senior-level decision-making processes, the integration of strategy and resourcing, and the analysis of defense resourcing options.
NDU develops joint warfighters and other national security leaders through rigorous academics, research and engagement to serve the common defense.
The Eisenhower School prepares selected military and civilians for strategic leadership and success in developing our national security strategy and in evaluating, marshaling, and managing resources in the execution of that strategy.
This is a Title 10 Excepted Service Appointment. Appointment is not to exceed 3 years with the possibility for extension.

Develops and conducts graduate-level seminar instruction and lectures in the ES National Security Policy and Strategy and Industry Analytics core courses to include national security strategy/policy, the U.S. domestic context of national security policy formulation and execution, Congressional - Executive Branch interaction, international relations, and regional security studies.
Plays a leadership role in the planning and development of curriculum material on national security/defense resourcing.
Participates in the planning and development of the ES curriculum and serves as the principal proponent for overall objectives, content, and methods for the National Security Policy and Strategy core course, electives, and other portions of the ES curriculum.
Mentors, counsels, and advises students in role of primary faculty advisor to several students. Assesses students' learning using a variety of assessment methodologies.
Serves as research adviser to individual students and student groups performing research on topics of academic interest relevant to national security decision making and other aspects of national security strategy.
Background or Security Investigation: This is a Non-Critical Sensitive position which requires a background investigation. The individual selected for this position is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security determination to occupy a Non-Critical Sensitive position within the agency as a condition of employment.
