Monitor patients during prenatal, antepartum, and postpartum periods; and delivering babies;
Examine patients in the OB/GYN clinic, diagnose and prescribe medications;
Perform specialized tests and procedures, issue instructions to patient for home care between visits, and order all necessary laboratory test, interpret the test results, and provide clear, understandable explanation to the patient of her condition;
Perform inpatient and outpatient, major and minor GYN surgery on a scheduled and unscheduled basis, and provide appropriate follow-up care;
While "on call" evenings, weekends and holidays, will be responsible for several panels of patients, as well as the admission and in-patient care of patients from the panels for which he/she is providing coverage.

This includes, but is not limited to, the following: provides a full range of medical care to include examination, diagnosis, and treatment of obstetric/gynecological patients in the clinic as well as on the Labor and Delivery Unit and the Multi-Service Ward.
LICENSING: Active, permanent, full, unrestricted physician license to practice medicine in any state, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR: This position has a selective placement factor. Possession of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Failure to document the current certification in your resume will result in an ineligible rating.
Satisfy BUMEDs clinical privileges requirements which, in addition to the above, includes the following:
- Completion of a residency program in the specialty approved by the American specialty board or AOA, board certification, or board eligible.
- Current clinical competence (e.g., privileged to independently practice as a Physician (OB/GYN) within the past 2 years, actively practiced within the past 2 years by having encountered a sufficient number of clinical cases to represent a broad spectrum of the privileges required).
- No health status contraindications to granting clinical privileges.
- Board certification is desired but not required.
