This announcement is for an intermittent (flexible) status Custodial Worker position with Fort Leavenworth FMWR. Custodial workers with Fort Leavenworth FMWR assist in maintaining the general upkeep and overall cleanliness of FMWR facilities located throughout the installation.
Intermittent status employees are not guaranteed scheduled hours, but can be scheduled to work up to 40 hours per week. Work is generally performed late nights and early mornings while the facilities are closed to patrons, incumbents will need to ensure availability to work nights, weekends, and possible holidays. Starting salary for this position is $9.10 per hour, with automatic pay increases based on time worked if performance standards have been met.

5. Work is usually performed indoors in areas that have adequate heat, light, and ventilation. Exposed dirt and disagreeable odors, vibration from use of heavy equipment, and to skin irritations from strong cleaning solutions.
