As a Psychiatrist, you will provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to veterans in need of psychiatric services. Duties include documenting observations, assessments, and changes in patient's condition; collaborating with health team members to facilitate positive patient care outcomes; providing a full range of psychiatric care to patients with a variety of physical and/or behavior problems; and accountable for meeting and maintaining the qualification standards of assigned specialty. Our facility is seeking individuals who possess good organizational skills which enable completion of work, a demonstrated ability to assume leadership in a patient centered program, and the ability to establish effective communication with patients, families, visitors and members of the interdisciplinary team.
The Outpatient Psychiatrist will provide patient care to approximately 12-20 outpatients daily, including diagnosis, care, and treatment, as well as consultations to other services when requested. Responsible for all facets of an acute outpatient care. Will assist in completing quality management reviews. Must be computer literate with computer skills to access and input electronic medical documentation. Responsible for the successful achievement of applicable Performance Measure and Monitors for his/her areas of responsibility.
Work Schedule: Full-time. Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with on-call duties on the weekend, night and holiday coverage as necessary.
