Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA):
This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) and requires additional education, training and experience. Apply the theoretical foundations of computer science, including computer system architecture and system software organization, the representation and transformation of information structures, and the theoretical models for such representations and transformations.
Professional Specialized Knowledge/Experience
For the ND-03 pay band: In addition to the successful completion of an accredited master's or higher degree with directly related to the curriculum, the selectee must possess the specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level/pay band (ND-02) that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or competencies required to satisfactorily perform ND-03 work.
For the ND-04 pay band: In addition to the successful completion of an accredited Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree with directly related to the curriculum, the selectee must possess the specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level/pay band (ND-03) that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or competencies required to satisfactorily perform ND-04 work.
Selective Placement Factor
These positions has a Selective Placement Factor (SPF) that must be met in order to qualify. The SPF for each series is listed below. Possession of the SPF must be verifiable via your transcript.
